Hello..

I have a question.

In my map I'm trying to build in some events.

What I want is this..

I have some objects (2) and vehicles (4) which need to be destroyed.

I have the following wac.

if never() and ssndead(132122) and ssndead(132140) then
text("All rockets destroyed")
wave("ampr376.wav", 50)
endif

This works fine for my objects.
If I try the same for vehicles it doesn't work because they respawn after they are killed.

How di I solve this??

You have to set the vehicles to spawn only once, hence no respawn

Yeah.... That's something I figured out myself..

But how do I do this. I couldn't find that option in NILE or in Nile's little helper.
Do I have to arrange this in the WAC file?

I dont use nile, but i think iyou have to wac it:
SSNSpawn(ssn, spawn count) set the spawn count, 0=don't respawn.

Get Xmed its so much simpler

I haven“t used NILE for a long time, but I think you can change it in the attributes.

Thanx guy's for the answers..
Haven't tried them yet but I will as soon as possible..

By the way... How do I close a thread when my question is answered

I can think of a way but that seems a bit drastic..

Thanx again

You dont need to close a thread here, they are all left open, that way if someone has anything to add at a later date they can.

u could try this:

if never() and ssndead(xxxxxx) and ssndead(yyyyyyy) then
text("All rockets destroyed")
wave("ampr376.wav", 50)
endif

if chain(3) then
removessn(xxxxxx)
removessn(yyyyyy)
endif

this will remove the destroyed vehicle from the game 3 seconds after they are destroyed hence stopping them from respawning.

if u remove the if never command in your event then the event will fire every time the vehicles are destroyed over and over again as i resets itself when the vehicle respawn,

the spawn attribute does not affect vehicles or objects at all only Ais but u cant set the number of spawns in nile, it only works as an on or off switch for unlimited spawn, 1 or higher is unlimited respawning, and 0 = once dead stay dead.
