I was reading an article on gamespot this morning about Vista and games.

Direct x 10 as we all know is only for Vista and looks fantastic, but only if you have a graphics card that is designed for it, and thats the new cards that have come out recently, like Nvidias 8800, so if any of you are upgrading to Vista wanting the full gaming experience with all the new features that Vista provides your going to need a new pc with the new graphics cards etc, if your upgrading from XP to Vista and leaving your rig as is you still wont get the full experience even if you have a high end system, the problem is that its been designed for XP rather than Vista.

Vista's Direct x 10 is backwards compatable with Direct x 9, any game that runs on Dx 9 will run with Dx 10 provided you dont have any driver issues which may happen with older game types.

Im glad you got it working Coolie.
