Sorry, guys, but is it any wonder I've been playing Rainbow Six online? I went and played DF Blackhawk Down the other day and just had to say...Wow, how lame. Let's face it. Novalogic ain't even in the dance. I am already geared up for EA's Battlefield 3. And it has coop. Defibrillators? They got 'em. Graphics? Get out a here! I have been away for awhile and can't remember the last time I played DF online. Truthfully it was always the people on the maps that kept me coming back. Good folks! I forgot I was using my DFX as a coaster but I think it still plays. Have to try it. I kept wishing something would come of waiting on Novalogic but I think they're done. I mean, have you looked at BF3?
Some say, that if You see me, it is probably too late..

The biggest problem with game developers these days is that co-op or coop is a non-priority, they will not take the bother with proging a proper co-op game mode, it is not economic viable, period. With the gaming industry today primarily focusing on consoles and MMOG, and most games on the PC platform today are ported from consoles anyway. I fear that the future for PC co-op is extinction...
The last descent game (imho) with 2+ co-op was OFP:DR/OFP:RR.
What I REALLY miss is a co-op oriented game with ~8 player(±2) capability, that comes with an intuitive mapmaker, player hosting(no renting servers) and dedicated server function. (Boils down to LW/JO with updated gfx)
