| Captain Slow Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | The VX server probably wont be updated any time soon Moi, the update installs things that might effect the way the server runs at the moment, stats especially, the MODS for DFX dont like babstats all that much, you see some weird things going on with them, well thats due to the mods. Until the demand is there to update VX we wont be putting any more strain on the DFX stats system. When we update our servers we let people know on the news page so they know whats going on, or change the server name to include the MOD version. | ||

  Registered Member #1159 Joined: Tue Mar 21 2006Location: U.S.A. Posts: 21 | I have downloaded the new VX Mod update and its really just another BFM. The way VX Mod is now is a lot better. There are a lot more weapons to choose as it is. With the update there are no thermal sniper rifles, the only thermal is the G36 and FP90. Its very cumbersome to get into and out of thermal mode too. You have to roll your mouse wheel to get into thermal and then you are in full screen thermal, you cant right click to get out of it, you have to roll the wheel to shut off thermal and then you can right click. Of course when you are in full screen thermal you cant right click and spin around quickly to get at the bg in back of you since you are in scope mode so youre defenseless until after fumbling around rolling the wheel, ooooops got to roll the wheel the other way, trying to shut it off you finally get out of it but by then your dead. If you roll it one way you go into thermal single shot mode, keep rolling that way and you are in full screen scope without thermal, roll the wheel the other way and you shut off thermal but you are still in full screen scope mode but without thermal, by then forget it, youre dead. Bottom line is if you want new maps, flamethrower, flare pistol, different challenges just go to BFM, its the same stuff. ok i'm done... lol...thats my game review...lol.  | ||
