Captain Slow    Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | No dont get all excited nothing new just making a thread so that when new things DO come along we can update this thread. I did however do a Google with "Delta Force Angel Falls" which found lots of hits, forums all over are all having discussions on this upcomming game even if the amount of actual genuine prouf is a 5 second flash of a poster on Novas front page. I would call the internet buzzing with gossip most of which seems to be positive and quotes of "well I will buy it", lets face it what other games company makes games that have what Joint Ops, DFX, LW etc. have to keep us all interested and comming back for more. Even Wikipedia has an entry here on the new game. | ||

A new game in the Delta Force line is long waited for and the grapics look pretty cool but its hard to say really. This is on my Christmas list for sure. It's just the same old pictures, but now put together in a slideshow with some nice music behind it... There has been much debate on this whether it's a hoax or not... Here some video's with the same pictures... same pictures without the photoshop blur and different music Same pictures with different music and different name - Cuba Libre This leads me to believe that these are just some slideshows put together by someone with some free time on their hands. I don't think its officially NOVALOGIC . NUT ACE out... | ||

As with everything rumour and speculation are a part of modern day living, you should know by now that Novalogic like to keep things to themselves until the last moment, not much hype just good games. Its nice to have something to look forward to even if it turns out to be a hoax. | ||

They were for internal use only, but got leaked out through their ftp server somehow (placed in a public ftp server by accident). However, it appears to be from an early research and development version, so the final game might be nothing like this. | ||

You hear so much different stuff, and like Wedge said, Novalogic likes to keep that sort of stuff to themselves... It's been said (supposedly by someone from within NOVALOGIC) that it's gonna be a complete new Engine with a new Level editor based upon NILE... Ah well nothing to do but wait and see what it brings....It will be nice to see which of the many stories was true at the end... NUT ACE out... | ||

I just wanted to take a minute and address the rampant amount of rumors about the DFAF beta. : ) We are planning on having a beta. It is not currently ongoing, nor has it been. There have not been any signups or invites issued. We have not decided how signups will work - it will probably not be open to the general public, but there is a good chance it will be open to NW/NW2 community members in good standing. There is no set timeframe for the beta yet. The best guess I can offer is Q1 2009 - but again, that is not definite. There has been no discussion whether or not we will beta test NILE Studio, or even whether it will be included with DFAF ( my preference would be yes on both - but that isn't my decision ) I'll try to see that any announcements made about the DFAF beta are made to the community on NW2 first. | ||

This should stop the Coop discussion now: DFAF will have COOP and the major design focus is on nailing the FPS basics - movement, shooting, networking are being rethought. Totally new AI system as well. Weapons balance is really important to me for this project... Everything else aside, just moving through the environment and shooting your weapon should be fun on it's own. | ||
