Captain Slow    Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | As VX has an update out and BFM is having issues with the stats system we have its getting to the stage we need to think about updating the systems. When an update is done, it can cause server crashes and stats problems, this update would be one of the biggest updates we have done. We will not be able to promis your stats will be kept or that the vx server will remain as stable as it has been with the update installed. If everything goes well however you should see improvements in the stats system with new features and more accurate recording of your scores. So its upto you, please leave your comments and vote in the poll to let us know what you think. | ||

I think the update sounds like it would make admin easier in the long run, so from that standpoint I vote for the update. Anything to help make things easier for admin of all this community. | ||

A lot of the weapons are gone, maybe less than half the weapons to choose from, very cumbersome to change from shooting to nades. as i said in the other post, you can not right click to get out of scope mode if you are in thermal, you have to get out of thermal first. either keep hitting 3 to cycle through everything to get out or roll the mouse wheel, roll too far and youve drop your rifle only to have a grenade in your hand when a bg is on your back. its just BFM, if VX is updated you will end up with 2 BFM servers, just different maps. our favorite sniper rifle is gone, the M21 Thermal. you can take out a bg with that over 1,000 meters out when all you see is the tip of his hat. there is no thermal sniper rifle at all. with so many dark or rainy maps the thermal M21 is the weapon of choice. i love VX Mod just as it is, it would lose what we all love about the VX Mod, i vote to keep VX as it is. | ||

 Registered Member #1153 Joined: Sun Mar 19 2006Location: USA Posts: 22 | i voted to keep your VX Mod server as it is too. i have tried the new update and as Cobra said it's just another BFM. Same BFM weapons and fewer weapons to choose from. i love the way BearForce has made the VX Mod just like it is, the new mod takes more away than what you get. I appreciate their work in making these mods, it adds a whole new game play to DFX but with the update its kinda like,...."if it aint broke dont fix it." but now they broke it. Its just another BFM. Myself and others switch back and forth between the regular DFX server, the BFM server and the VX Mod server. The favorite by far is the VX Mod server just as it is. If other players want something new, go to the BFM server, but i bet you'll be back to the VX Mod server after only a little while....lol Our stats just as they are mean a lot to us, hundreds and hundreds of hours have been needed to get us where we are and we want to keep them and continue to build on them. Thank you! **and by the way if you want to try the new VX Mod, dont download it yet, i found problems with it that they are now working on, like every time you fire a flare from your pistol it uses up grenades from your AK47. A lot of the guys who voted to change it, you never see in the game! I have put a lot of hours in to obtain the stats I have, even though they were messed up the last time you updated the system, as my knife stats for instance. The guys and gals who play vx regular, I've gotten to know pretty well and I would hate to lose that, not to mention my stats. I feel you would lose a lot of participation in game play if you updated. So, NO, don't change it. We love it the way it is. | ||
