Well the news everyone has been waiting for is out! its official, Novalogic have released information on DeltaForce Angel Falls, the long time in comming new game from Novalogic.
The following Information is taken from Action Inside.
Platform: PC DVD-Rom Release Date: July 2009 Age Rating: 16+
Description
Set in the north-west region of Central America (near future in Colombia & Venezuela) “Delta Force: Angel Falls” takes the player to the rural, sparsely populated, jungle areas of this exotic locale. Avoiding the over-exposed Middle Eastern settings; the South American environment provides a premise which is naturally beautiful and full of new millennium conflicts.
Marginal governments, involved in local expansionism, continually scuffle with one another and with major global powers. Complicating the setting, drug cartels have evolved beyond money and violencedriven entities to political forces rivaling established governments. Influenced by current events, the game is both topical and novel.
The sometimes local philosophy of “your enemy is my friend and your friend is my enemy” gives rise to a multitude of ever-changing alliances and conflicts which drive the game’s rapid action and easy-to-digest back-story. The culmination of the conflict takes place in the Angel Falls area of Venezuela providing both a spectacular setting and a surprise ending.
Game features: 12 single player missions over 3 campaigns. 12 multiplayer maps supporting multiple game types including TKOTH, CTF, TDM & DM. um where is coop? Utilizes real “Delta Force” scenarios, tactics and equipment in course of game through extensive consultations with Delta Force operators. Seamless large-scale environments encompassing land, air and sea-based vehicles. Gratifying gunplay, well-balanced weapons, and tactically interesting dynamic environments. Supporting up to 200 combatants, per game, in online play. Well I hope they just forgot to mention the Coop game type!

Not the right news I was hoping for. Don't get me right it's a nice game, nice graphics but NO COOP!! Then what's the idea of this game?? All previous Nova games had coop maps from Delta Force 1 to Joint Ops.

You only have to look at any Lobby and see the ratio between Coop and any other game type, if this new game does not have Coop then they have just killed off 3/4 of the sales.
I got Crysis Warhead yesterday, what a fantastic game, as good as the first but no flipping Coop ! oh how I want to play this game with others shooting bots, a Coop mod was sure to be on the cards which has never been done and probably wont.
Why are coop players benig left out in the cold these days, very few games even have coop and the ones that do are limited to just a few players, I cant think of any other coop game that can do what JO can and its getting so old now.
It used to just be a given fact that when a game came out it had coop, now it either is left out or has to be done by a mod which is never the same.
I was sure Nova would see how popular coop is and include it in their new game, I just hope this is a oversight and that it does have coop.
Well they said multiple game types including TKOTH, CTF, TDM & DM, so that means there could be more they didn't list. And maybe the engine does support COOP, but there are just no COOP maps coming with the game. After all, COOP survives on custom maps mostly, if it wasn't for the map editor, COOP would have been dead already. Joint Operations also only came with COOP, ASS, TKOTH and TDM by default, but still supported other game types like CTF and FB.
But we will see if the engine supports COOP. In order to keep COOP alive, we need a map editor that can create small maps. In JO, don't need to have a map installed to play it, you will simply receive it from the server. If you have an editor like the one from Crysis where you can fully customize the terrain, I'm afraid the data files become to big to send it over the net during a map cycle to all players. Then you will have to download and install a map before you can play, and that will probably be the end of COOP games as we know.
If you look at the system requirements, it looks like a cheap game that won't be able to compete to other shooters with it's graphics. So in order to become a success, they must beat the competing games on something else. If there isn't a map editor and no COOP support, then the game is probably doomed. I hope Novalogic is not that stupid and include a COOP system like in JO, but then without most bugs and with a map editor that actually works.

What I dont understand is JO TR says it requires 1.5gb but its a 1 disk cd rom.
DFX says it needs 2gb and its a 1 disk cd rom.
The graphics look good but not on the same scale as Crysis which has been mentioned.
All these I dont mind, Something new and something that has Coop is what im interested in, even just updating JO with more things but keeping the same engine would do me, JO works well just needs bringing uptodate.

There seems to be some confusion, System Specs vary between Nova Inside and MTR Soft
The Article HERE states the System Specs as Windows XP, Vista 2.6Ghz P4 CPU (Dual Core or Quad Core Recommended) 1 GB of RAM (2GB Recommended) DVD-ROM drive 5GB Free Hard Drive Space Pixel Shader 3.0 or better video card (ATI 1900+, NVidia 7900+ or better recommended) DirectX 9.0c or higher
Which is much more realistic for a new game, the Specs I copied off Nova Inside are really JO scale.
I have also been reading about we need to now take the release date and specs with a pinch of salt.
July 2009 does seem a long way off, even Novalogics splash screen says comming soon, I wouldnt call July 2009, very nearly a year soon so im hoping its earlier, the Christmas market would be a good one to it but looks doubtful now.
The graphics specs are high, even Crysis says it can manage with lower, so maybe the game will have top notch graphics, the buildings a very obviously Novalogic as are the palm trees and little bird.
All in all we are still speculating, its just nice to have a little bit more information, just not some what we were after.
seams to me the reason WOW ( world of winnies ) is so freaking big is because of the coop play, joint quest, rais or what ever they call it. I am the only one in my family that wont play it, besides the that point, coop in WOW has made the game what it is!!!
