It's too bad that you think that this has become a b*tch session. All I wanted to do was to get info so i could run a game for myself and one(1) other personal friend of mine. I didn't realize that two people were such a threat to your servers. I never felt ill will toward Hardmaps or the people that play here now will I in the future. good luck. Greg. | ||

The rest was mainly praise for HmS. No offense meant to You, but You were the one calling or at least indicating, that HmS policy on giving information on hosting was not ... lets say ... "correct". And I strongly disagree with you on that point. So I did tell You why, because generally I like to give some explanation for my opinions. If You feel offended by that, I cannot help it. They are giving away the products of their knowledge for free, no need to fault them for not giving away their knowledge for free, too. You can even download all of their marvelous maps for free. You may get a free Coke from time to time, but try to get the receipe for Coke ... You get the idea? HmS is giving a lot of help and info on nearly every aspect of the game. If they refuse to give any on hosting, it is up to them. Be happy with what You get and try to get that tiny last bit elsewhere. There are enough resources on the internet. HmS has no obligation to give You anything and still they give a marvelous gaming world to You for free. Ain't that enough already? Honestly, to run a game for You and Your friend, every info needed is on the Novalogic website. If You want more control, all You need is the RAT-tool. Info on that easily found by google. I was just pointing out, that their policy has some merit and You should not judge them for abiding to it (BTW. i asked myself once and got the same answer, went out and did my own research and found neaarly everything I was looking for in little time). Hardmaps offers the best in game play with the many different servers we have. Hardmaps even offers help with PC's, open forums to discuss many different topics, As Dlab Cardinal said we offer most if not almost all of our maps to the public. (HmS Shawdowman, HmS trevor, HmS Blood, HmS Joe, HmS Tisa, are some of the best map makers on the Novalogic world) and we do not hoard them to our selves we share with all. The founder of our squad HmS Wedge is one of the finest, and fairest men I have ever met and this is not said because I am in the squad but because I am so glad I know him. Hardmaps has simple rules, even for the squad members and they are not hard to follow, in fact it is very simple. But somethings just are not given out or discussed. He is Hardmaps and we who are in the squad respect that, Those who have gamed or talked with him know how generous he is to all of us. And Hardmaps for years now has offered free Voice over net and if you had not utilized it you would not have met some of the wonderful people we all game with. As a proud member of the squad, and a fun loving gamer to all I game with let Hardmaps do what we do, and If Hardmaps decide not to give out every thing but the lint in our pockets, so be it. Enjoy the game, Enjoy the people you game with. I personally enjoy and appreciate all that I have gamed with and played on JO LW TFD DFX, Most of all I have enjoyed all who I get to talk to on VT. If I were not a HmS member I would still game on these servers, Skull all is good and we will get over this. | ||

Even I as a squad member don´t know how to host and what programs to use. And as a said in my last post: Hosting for you and a friend you don´t need hosting tools, you can host from JO and get it to work. No problem I and many more (I can guarantee that) has done it and it works just fine. | ||
