I'm already put off by the beta!!! Why? What is all this crap about first clicking the game icon in the Game section of the start menu, then "Origin" starts, click "Play now" on the game-icon, it then launches the Your web-browser to log into the Origin/BF3 site, and then You click "Find match" to launch the game And then only to find out You need a browser plug-in for the game to launch!!!!!!! FFS!!!!!

If the Battlefield series weren't any good, the new "battlelog" could easily kill it. Hopefully EA will get such a backlash once everyone gets on that they'll change it for next release.
Of course most likely all the braindead console users will like it so it will stay.

Gave the Beta a try last night - "TRY" because it took forever to get into a match and then got kicked from about 4 servers after 10-15 minutes of play as the servers crashed (or were they timed out?)
The Battlelog thing is a PITA - but its a weird concept to get your head around - gaming through a browser launch. Biggest problem I see is that if yuo have no internet - you might not be able to even play the game in single palyer mode. Not sure yet since the Beta doesn't have the SP.
For the heck of it I've been reading the EA forums about the Beat launch - and can generally say - DON'T BOTHER READING THEM. Its full of people complaining about the game - not to mention tonnes of misinformation. Peope seem to think that a Beta release should be 100% - not.
The forums are also full of people wanting their money back - for a BETA version??!!!??? Get real.
I've read threads that state that you won't be able to play it with a ATI Radian HD5770 vid card - B.S. - I have that and it looked fine. Maybe not at the highest setings with super fast frame rates, but still damn good.
As for those of you who haven't tried the Beta yet - good luck. Realize that there are thundreds of thousands (if not millions) of copies that will have access to the Beta - and loads of them will want to try it - and there are limited number of servers still. So you may get into a game - or not. And some servers may actually be set to let you only play a short while to try it. If you do get in - play it to try it - don't bother with worrying about leveling up as your stats will most likely get wiped out at release time (and should be).
There are complaints about the prone availability - in that some people will sniper camp. This is annoying. Also last night we found that you can have campers BEHIND you once you've taken an objective - thats REALLY annoying - there should be an auto-time-kill for campers behind the lines.
But again - its a Beta release. The biggest annoyance I found was getting access to servers (and staying on). The other things (like camping, prone) I doubt will get fixed as they are probably hard coded into the game.
I will definitely NOT be jumping on the "WANT MONEY BACK" band wagon. Every game has its glitches - even Bad Company 2 was annoying when I first started it - and look at the hours we all have playing that one. When I started the Alpha release of BF3, I died TONNES of times, and after a few days of playing I was easily at the top of the games stats many game - You just have to get used to it. Once the server issues are sorted out, I'm looking forward to hopefully a damn good game.

That's gonna be a big problem with this game - there will be those ppl that camp the jets and other toys and never let you get a chance to try them.
Plus they'll fly around doing not really much (sure, he HIT stuff, but did he take anything out?) The guys on the ground will do all the dying and objectives.
