As a member of the RAF reserves, I have had many cool moments. The coolest, however, in my humble opinion, was when I was given a "jolly" in a Chinook. We flew the entire south coast of England finishing with a trip up the Thames at 100 ft. And yes. I was the guy posing out of the back of the helicopter as we flew over Tower Bridge whilst the tourists took their photos.

At my Age I guess I have had a lot but I got two. One being offered HmS to be with a great group of people. two when the Doctors told me HmS JustMe was going to live. The second one was more better than any other

It's one of the bucket list things would like to fly in the front of a helo instead in the back of a Chinook. Did that in the National Guard
Cool!!! I'm not showing off BUT I've flown Chinook, Wasp, Huey, Sea King, Gazelle, Lynx, Hughes 500 (as in game), Puma (as in game) and Wessex all in the Left hand seat. Not as cool as the Chinny but severe fun!!
I have never ridden a bike though and my only nautical experience is on a boat on the Norfolk Broads (which I loved)
I am root. If you see me laughing, you‘d better have a backup!

Spending a whole day alone in the grand canyon in 1993: Starting on the south rim at 05:00am on the South Kaibab Trail down to the phantom ranch (seing lots of wild animals from very close up), taking a bath in the Colorado River and going up the Bright Angel Trail until I reached the souther rim again at 21:30 in the evening (The last part was crouded with tourists and only tame squirrels could be seen ... pity!). It was awesome to see and experince this beautiful landscape first hand (and it was a pretty tough and hazardous trek, so I am proud of mastering it as well. Being a scout, I was prepared )

solitude with nature is very under-rated. i love the woods and wildlife where i camp. i won't be able to go up the first few weekends that it's open due to working weekends until at least mid june. i will however be able to go during the week...when the kids are in school....when the park will be empty....somehow i'm not disappointed. i will bring my dog and my new fishing rod(i got a new one for mother's day) and my dog goes right in the canoe with me. the place is so quiet during the week even in the height of summer season. i can paddle a canoe without making a sound too
