British Army A British Army colonel was reviewing the troops in colonial India. One man he passed sported an enormous erection. "Sergeant-Major!" the colonel shouted."Give this man 30 days compassionate home leave." "Yessir," the Sgt. Major replied. A few months later the same thing occurred with the same man. "Sergeant-Major! Give this man another 30 days compassionate home leave," the Colonel barked. A few months later, same guy, same problem. The Colonel is angry. "Sergeant-Major! Haven't we given this man two compassionate home leaves?" "Yessir," the Sgt. Major replies. "Then what's his problem, Sgt. Major?" the Colonel asks. The Sgt. Major salutes and says, "Sir. It's you he's fond of."

God was just about done creating man, but he had two things left over in his bag and He couldn't quite decide how to split them between Adam and Eve. He thought He might just as well ask them.
He told them one of the things He had left was a thing-a-ma-bob that would allow the owner to pee while standing up. "It's a very handy thing," God told them, "and I was wondering if either one of you had a preference for it."
Well, Adam jumped up and down and begged, "Oh, please give that to me! I'd love to be able to do that! It seems like just the sort of thing a man should have. Please! Pleeease! Give it to me!" On and on he went like an excited little boy.
Eve just smiled and told God that if Adam really wanted it so badly, he could have it.
So God gave Adam the thing that allowed him to pee standing up. Adam was so excited he just started whizzing all over the place -- first on the side of a rock, then he wrote his name in the sand, and then he tried to see if he could hit a stump ten feet away -- laughing with delight all the while.
God and Eve watched him with amusement and then God said to Eve,"Well, I guess you're kind of stuck with the last thing I have left"
"What's it called?" asked Eve. "Brains," said God.

Not me Sarge! A drill sergeant had just chewed out one of his cadets, and as he was walking away, he turned to the cadet and said, "I guess when I die you'll come and dance on my grave." The cadet replied, "Not me, Sarge...no sir! I promised myself that when I got out of the Army I'd never stand in another line!"
The fast laugh Several years ago, after having Japanese executives from the automotive industry tour a Ford Plant, they held a press conference in which one of the Japanese execs claimed that the American workers were slow and lazy. Not long after, a friend sent me a picture of a bumper sticker on a truck at the Ford plant. It read - "We may be slow and lazy, but we build a damn good bomb!"
Army vs. Marines Two Marines boarded a quick shuttle flight out of Dallas, headed for Houston. One sat in the window seat, the other sat in the middle seat. Just before take-off, an Army soldier got on and took the aisle seat next to the two Marines. The Soldier kicked off his shoes, wiggled his toes and was settling in when the Marine in the window seat said, "I think I'll get up and get a coke." "No problem," said the Soldier, "I'll get it for you." While he was gone, the Marine picked up the Soldier's shoe and spit in it. When the Soldier returned with the coke, the Marine in the middle seat said, "That looks good, I think I'll have one too." Again, the Soldier obligingly went to fetch it and while he was gone, the Marine picked up the soldier's other shoe and spit in it. The Soldier returned and they all sat back and enjoyed the rest of the short flight to Houston. As the plane was landing, the Soldier slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened. "How long must this go on?" the Soldier asked. "This fighting between our services? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and peeing in cokes
A New Yorker was driving through a remote part of Arizona when her car broke down. An American Indian on horseback came along and offered to give her a ride to a nearby town. She climbed up behind him on the horse and they rode off. The ride was uneventful, except that every few minutes the Indian would let out a "Ye-e-e-e-h-a-a-a-a" so loud it echoed off the surrounding hills.
When they arrived in town, the Indian let her off at the local service station, yelled one final "Ye-e-e-e-h-a-a -a-a!" and rode off.
A service station attendant asked the woman what she did to get the Indian so excited and she said, "Nothing, I just sat behind him, put my arms around his waist and held onto the saddle horn, so I wouldn't fall off."
"Lady," the attendant said, "Indians don't use saddles."

He spoke with the wisdom that can only come from experience, like a guy who went blind because he looked at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it and now goes around the country speaking at high schools about the dangers of looking at a solar eclipse without one of those boxes with a pinhole in it.

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started... During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criteria was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

The other night I was invited out for a night with "the girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, "I promise!" Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him. (Even when totally smashed...3 cuckoos plus 9 cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos = MIDNIGHT!).
The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, and I told him "Midnight". He didn't seem pissed off at all. Whew! Got away with that one! Then he said, "We need a new cuckoo clock." When I asked him why?, he said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said, "Oh. Sh*t.", cuckooed 4 more times, cleared it's throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted."
Hillary Clinton & her driver were cruising a country road one evening when an old cow loomed in front of the car. The driver tried to avoid it but couldn't - the aged bovine was struck & killed. Hillary told her driver to go to the farmhouse & explain what happened. She stayed in the car making phone calls to lobbyists.
About an hour later, the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, a rare Cuban cigar in the other, & was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.
"What happened to you," asked Hillary?
"Well," the driver replied, "the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, & their beautiful twin daughters made mad passionate love to me!"
"My God, what did you tell them?" asked Hillary.
The driver replied, "I just stepped inside the door & said, I'm Hillary Clinton's driver & I've just killed the old cow. The rest happened so fast, I couldn't stop it."
Bill worked in a pickle factory. He had been employed there for a number of years when he came home one day to confess to his wife that he had a terrible compulsion. He had an urge to stick his penis into the pickle slicer. His wife suggested that he should see a sex therapist to talk about it, but Bill said he would be too embarrassed. He vowed to overcome the compulsion on his own. One day a few weeks later, Bill came home. His wife could see at once that something was seriously wrong. "What's wrong, Bill?" she asked. "Do you remember that I told you how I had this tremendous urge to put my penis into the pickle slicer?" "Oh, Bill, you didn't." "Yes, I did." "My God, Bill, what happened?" "I got fired." "No, Bill. I mean, what did they do with the pickle slicer?" " Oh... she got fired too."
FORREST GUMP GOES TO HEAVEN > > The day finally arrived. Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven. > He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates > are closed, and Forrest approaches the gatekeeper. > > St. Peter said, "Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. > We have heard a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place >is filling up fast, and we have been administering an entrance examination >for everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get >into Heaven." > > Forrest responds, "It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir. But > nobody ever told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test > ain't too hard. Life was a big enough test as it was." > > St. Peter continued, "Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three > questions. > > First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T? > Second: How many seconds are there in a year? > Third: What is God's first name?" > > Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and >sees St. Peter, who waves him up, and says, "Now that you have had a chance >to think the questions over, tell me your answers." > > Forrest replied, "Well, the first one -- which two days in the week >begins with the letter "T"? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today >and Tomorrow." > > The Saint's eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, "Forrest, that is > not what I was thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I did not >specify, so I will give you credit for that answer. How about the next >one?" asked St. Peter. > > "How many seconds in a year? Now that one is harder," replied > Forrest, but I thunk and thunk about that, and I guess the only answer >can be twelve." > > Astounded, St. Peter said, "Twelve? Twelve? Forrest, how in > Heaven's name could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?" > > Forrest replied, "Shucks, there's got to be twelve: > January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd.... " > > "Hold it," interrupts St. Peter. "I see where you are going with > this, and I see your point, though that was not quite what I had > in mind.....but I will have to give you credit for that one, too. Let us >go on with the third and final question. Can you tell me God's first name"? > > "Sure," Forrest replied, "it's Andy." > > "Andy?" exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter. > > "Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to > my first two questions, but just how in the world did you come > up with the name Andy as the first name of God?" > > "Shucks, that was the easiest one of all," Forrest replied. "I learnt it >from the song, "ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM >HIS OWN. . " > > St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: "Run Forrest, run."

Some of you may know my ex-wife.
She had started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started (1975) and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year. Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in Southern Tennessee because of bad weather. Some could call it a crash; an accident at the least. Our kids were with me at the Beach House this weekend.
National Transportation Safety Board officials have issued a preliminary determination citing pilot error contributed to the accident, and Judy was flying a single engine aircraft (a basic model, at best) in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions while only having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating) rating.
The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured.
Photographs below were taken at the scene show the extent of damage to her aircraft.
