FYI
Its worth playing the CO-OP missions - you unlock specialized weapons that you can't unlock in the multiplayer - such as the MP7 and G3 - and a few more.

You host the 2 player coop yourself - its very easy - just click the CAMPAIGN button in the BattleLog and then select a friend to join your game. You can only select those in your friends list.

Anyone who objects to the EULAs of Origin, which allow EA to scan Your whole PC (yeah, all of it, even Your p... errr .... private stufff) and transmit the infos gathered to EA for further use of their own:
It is possible to block the orgin.exe with a firewall (Windows firewall will do) and still be able to play multiplayer online. Simply deactivate the cloud services and and the activation of Origin ingame before blocking it with a firewall. And then log in via battlelog.
I haven't tested yet myself, but a competent german computer magazine did and suceeded.
Aunt Edit says:
Looks like EA did wise up and changed their EULAs. Looks like media attention does have an effect after all

Keep going! Around rank 13 to 15 it became all of a sudden easy for me, like it somebody threw a switch and it went klick. Now it is really fun to play.
