They finally did it!!!!!
A modding cew has finally released a beta (v2) of a Crysis Co-op mod for 4 players . Haven't tried it yet, but might be way cool. Think you need to have Crysis Wars installed though.
From their website: "Install Notes: C:\Programs\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars\Mods (make a new folder if there's no "mods" folder)paste the Crysis-coop files in the "mods" folder. then make a new shortcut (just copy "crysis wars shortcut. then edit the path, like this: "C:\Programs\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -mod crysiscoop and save it. Now you should just click on the editet shortcut and everything should work."

Sounds nice, but why all new games only have 4 man coop?
Probably bc most new games are resource hogs - they take so much CPU power and ram to run that its difficult to get them to process even more data with respect to extra people on the server. JO is a very simple game with low graphics and doesn't need many resources to play, whereas if you look at Crysis (and others) the resources required are huge.
Its also why we are really wondering how the new Nova game Angel Falls intends to handle how to have many player coop with high graphics. Of course by the time they release the game we will probably all have chips embedded in our skulls so it won't really be an issue anymore.
