The adventures of Sam Fisher continue in the fifth entry of the stealth-based series. In this game, all of the rules have changed, as the storyline takes a dramatic turn that will reinvent the Splinter Cell franchise forever. Fisher can no longer rely on his trusted bag of tools and iconic goggles. An investigation into his daughter's death unwittingly leads former agent Sam Fisher to discover he’s been betrayed by his prior agency, the Third Echelon. Now a renegade, Fisher finds himself in a race against time to thwart a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions.
Uniting revolutionary gameplay enhancements with a high-octane, no-holds-barred storyline, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction arms you to the teeth with all the high-tech weaponry and lethal skills of an elite operative and invites you to enter a dangerous world where justice means making your own rules.

Genre: Action
Publisher: Ubisoft
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal
Release date: Splinter Cell Conviction didn't quite hit its targeted release date of 2009, but those eagerly awaiting Sam Fisher's return won't have to wait much longer. Ubisoft has finally nailed down a date for the release of Splinter Cell Conviction. If you live in the United States, mark your calendars for February 23. Both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game will hit shelves then. Those in Europe will have to wait a couple of extra days.

Had it pre-ordered for a few weeks already Blood...

I've played/owned all the previous Splinter Cell's, so I'll be getting this one even if it didn't look as good as it does.

I've played the demo on the Xbox and I thought it was quite good.

The demo only lasts about 10 minutes, so you can't get a full feel for the game though.

It's not like any other Splinter Cell. It's a lot quicker paced than the others with not too much emphasis on stealth.

I've got my pre-order and I'm looking forward to it.

Great news for us PC gamers...

An E-mail I just got from GAME:

Thank you for the following order placed with GAME.

As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction has changed to 30-Apr-2010. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control.

PC gamers get screwed again...

Launch trailer for the game:

--- EDIT ---

Guess Sony Music didn't like them using that Johnny Cash song. Ubisoft had to remove the launch trailers.
