Delta Force Xtreme2 will not be based on the Delta Force 2 levels. It will include entirely new terrains but the play will be much closer to the classic Delta Force games, Land Warrior, and BHD, than the first Xtreme. Due to the large number of terrains and assets it will ship on a DVD. Official screen shots should be released soon. There's no firm release date yet as we are still coordinating with our EU distributor, but it looks likely the EU release will be very close to the US release date.
Zooming in on those screenshots, it seems they recycled lots of the objects from previous games. I spotted many objects that also appeared in JO like the lumber mill, also the type of terrain and environment looks like the old engine.
I hope they make some fixes to the engine and add some new features rather then just making a mod for their own game. I would personally be more interested in having all the bugs fixed and some new features mappers can use then in an expansion for the same engine.
If you try to run, I've got six little friends and they can all run faster than you can.

No twisting of words MichaBen, just that the pics that Reaper posted look awesome and so what if they have used items that where used in previous mods/games (not that i can see any of them).
Some new screenshots of this new JO mod... excuse me, I mean new game have been posted on novaworld2. Some time ago, shortly some more screenshots appeared, but they were removed again for some reason. These 3 are still available however, the others might be mirrored on some sites:
Most of the objects on these screenshots are again from JO:TR and JO:ESC. But who cares, if they bring back all old objects, increase the limits on what we can use in maps and fix some of the old bugs, I'm happy. I just want to see that being confirmed before I would buy the game, so I'm waiting for an official statement before I will be excited and order it.

If this game is Due out in March then where is the pre-order that many games sites have, I looked at the main UK ones and no one has DFX2 for pre-order, the only place I can find is the US Amazon site.
Why bother to make a game then not advertise the fact its comming, the old saying of having to spend money to make money is true in this case, yes its a remake and not a new game, I hope Nova are going to be pushing DFAF as much as they can but they should be letting people know about DFX2 as well seeing as its supposed to be released soon.
Its the lack of information as usual from Nova that is really frustrating, why not let people know about the new games they are making. Other games like BF2, Crysis etc were hyped to death and everyone knew about them so sales were very good, come on Nova hype up your games and get everyone excited about them instead of drip feeding us information every few months.
Typical Novalogic. Don't get me wrong, I like novalogic games and plan on getting DFX2. I know the USA Amazon pre-order came out in the beining of febuary. The relese date at the time was Feb. 21st... good thing I didn't pre order and have my money tied up for an additional month.
Another example of how Novalogic can't seem to get their act together.

DFX2 Open Beta
Apologies for the lack of communications over the last couple of months– everyone’s been incredibly busy with GDC, DF:AF and of course, finishing DFX2.
Thanks for your patience – I’ve got some good news for everyone. You should see an official press release next week with specifics on release dates, European distribution, price points and information on where to find DFX2 in both retail stores and digital download. We should have some more screens up following the official announcement.
Better yet, in the next week or two, a free beta of DFX2 will be available for everyone to download and check out both the single player and (of course) the multiplayer gameplay. Our plan is to let our Gold members test-drive the servers for a while first, and then open it upto the public. The response we’ve had on DFX2 from GDC has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re excited to give everyone a sneak preview of the real deal.
You can look forward to some gorgeous, exciting and immersive multiplayer environments, along with totally new weapons handling, NW squad support, improved networking and anti-cheat on NovaWorld servers.
We’re almost there, guys, and things are looking great. Thanks for hanging in there.

Update Single Player mission was nice, it seems they updated the engine a bit as when you were wounded the screen blurred. Nice feature, makes you want to go to a medic, if there are medics in DFX2 that is, as I haven't been able to check COOP yet. The game looked very much like JO and DFX however, not surprising if you check the items.def file: almost all of the JO:ESC are copied into this game. Only 4 vehicles weren't included, although they are still in the items.def just commented out (maybe they are still working on them): - Rocket helis (both the JO and Rebel ones are gone) - Zodiac with M60 - Chinook with armory
I'm a bit worried about that last one, as they renamed the Armory truck to Transport truck with decorative armory. I personally liked those vehicles in COOP maps. In the SP mission you worked with powerups like in DFX, I personally prefer the armories. The 3 static armory from JO still seem to be included, but the mobile ones have been kicked it seems.
