| Life is like a box of chocolates... Registered Member #14 Joined: Sat Dec 20 2003Location: Ontario, Canada Posts: 2646 | Crytek made FarCry and it was released by Ubisoft Entertainment. However Ubisoft owned the rights to the name FarCry and the game itself - no idea why Crytek did that. Because of this Crytek no longer had the right to release another FarCry without Ubisoft's permission. Crytek then dedided to create another gaming engine and make Crysis instead which was release under the Electronic Arts name. Ubisoft in the meantime went ahead and created FarCry2 - possibly using the same engine that FarCry used - which was ans still is pretty good. | ||
