This zodiac is driving me nuts...
I have it following a waypointlist. This list brings it to a shore. It's supposed to drive up to the shore (land on it) and then release the Ai's on board.
The problem is, it doesn't reach the shore.. It stops about 4 mtr's from it. I know the Ai's aren't released because the motor keeps running.(so one of the AI's is still attached).
This tells me the final waypoint isn't reached (trigger for releasing Ai's).
I even had the final Waypoint "On land" to force it to the shore. This didn't help either..

wellm i havent tried that with a boat before but it should be pretty similar regardless of what AI vehicle you use, u might want to try and insert an delay after the boat has reached the waypoint. for instanse a chain command,
what command do u use for the trigger of the waypoint? ssnride? ssnnear?

Okay that's clear to me..
Just for info I'm placing the code I used...
************************Incomming zodiac***********************
if never() and SSNdead(1528) then //crew to zodiac
SSN2SSN(1634,67169)
SSNuse(1634)
SSN2SSN(1635,67169)
SSNuse(1635)
SSN2SSN(1636,67169)
SSNuse(1636)
SSN2SSN(1637,67169)
SSNuse(1637)
SSNtoWP(67169,13)
endif
if never() and SSNnearSSN(67169,132763,3) then
consol("Zodiac with reinforcements arrived")
endif
if chain(3) then
SSNrelease(1634)
SSNrelease(1635)
SSNrelease(1636)
SSNrelease(1637)
endif
I haven't looked closely at the radii of the waypoint's yet (I've set them all at 15). So that could be the problem. That leave's me with the question why it stops before reaching the final waypoint. It follows all the previous waypoints, so I'm thinking the radius isn't the problem. Then again, maybe I have to set the final waypoint radius a lot smaller..
The releasing of the AI's isn't the problem, I now that a waypoint can't serve as a trigger, so I placed an object (132763) right below the final waypoint to act as a trigger.
But because the final waypoint never is reached the trigger also doesn't work..
I was thinking it could be that the zodiac has to "crawl" ashore because the beach is comming up and the bottom of the zodiac hits it. I've looked at this but then it should be driving towards the shore until it hits the beach. That isn't the case. It stops well before it hits the bottom.

you could try to set an marker at the edge of the waypoint radius, use an orange flag for instance so u can see ingame if the zodiac stops where the waypoint radius is. or just lower the radius to 1 and watch if the zodiac tries to get to the waypoint on shore.

Ok...got this far...
Changed the radius (smaller) for the final waypoint. Now the zodiac lands on the shore.. Apperently the vehicle stops at the outer limit of the last waypoint radius...
Haven't tryed to change the distance for the release trigger. I'm still testing if a waypoint can act as a trigger. Godfather told me that a waypoint should work as long as you use an Ai to see it instead of a vehicle..
