You can use your own .aip and keep correct file association if you use same short names for the map and corresponding aip. You can only use I think 8 max characters for aip names.
For example, you want to add a custom .aip to the map HmS Night Shadows TDM (really, no pressure at all Shadowman - but when is it finished?) then you can abreviate to HNSTD_1.aip <!-- in case you want more of em--> HNSTD.wac HNSTD.npj HNSTD.bin HNSTD.txt
This will ensure hosts are able to know which files belong to which maps. In the text full mapname as shown in-game, short description how the map works if needed and what files need to be installed.
If aip names are different from map names they may be deleted or not be installed at all and the result is vehicles following waypoints without animation! I have seen that on novaworld and it was not a pretty sight. Knowing that, it is a hilariously stupid exploit to put to effect in scifi themed maps..
Now put the dots together and add stuff like this to tdm and as maps with ai on vehicles with custom aip!!
What are AIP files? Aren't they just weapon changes? Also, can we include custom audio files in maps?
