I am unable to play in any of the maps as I keep coming up as New........... I have renamed my character and redone my existing one but I am still until to gain access. Is any one able to shed some light on this please? Many thanks 99NAA | ||

That is where you click on "public games"to play in novaworld. You also see there "player options". Click on that and choose for "create player". Fill in your name you want to use and click OK. Go back to the homepage and click on public games again. Now you can play with your name you want too. [ Edited Sun May 18 2008 ] | ||

I remember having this problem a long, LONG time ago and now can't remember how to solve it. Geukie's ideas are good ones. I seem to remember trying over and over again to get it to let me log in and keep a character, and struggling too. Seems like it had something to do with having the pinger installed, or at least that is what I recall. I think my solution, ultimately, was to reinstall LW totally and in a new folder location on your hard drive, and that solved it. Wish I had a better solution, but I just can't think of anything else for you to try. | ||

| Registered Member #143 Joined: Mon Mar 29 2004Location: Georgia, USA Posts: 1700 | Try this - When you login inside DFLW, there is an option before you go to the public games, but on that same Main Page, called "My Player Options". Click on that and it should tell you the names of the players that you have available to your account. For instance, on mine, I have HmS.Quick. My DFLW character WAS *HmS*Quick, but since they changed things to require a login, it is now my JO name. In that screen, you should be able to enter a new character name, edit your character name, or delete characters tied to your account. The name selected will be what shows up in game when you join a game server. Report back on your results.... [ Edited Wed May 28 2008 ] | ||
