Been playing the campaign for about 20-30mins. One thing you have to watch - its VERY scripted. If the leader says do something, or follow, or go somewhere - you do it. Otherwise you're probably dead. Occasionally a pop-up on your screen will say tap SPACE, or MOVE MOUSE (an icon) - you better do it or again - you're dead. And don't do anything until they SAY do it - try to take on a sniper before they tell you and you'll probably loose your head.
It looks great, very smooth graphics. The lighting sometimes gets very dark inside, but its quite realistic that way. You do get ammo dumps every so often so you don't have to be super careful with ammo. You start off with a assault rifle and sniper rifle - and assorted pistol, grenades, etc. They hand you the extra toys as needed.
When you first launch it, you may have to dowload a new version of Origin if you're not up-to-date, but most likely you WILL have to download/install a browser add-on for Battlelog to work. Yes - they still use Battlelog. And it takes a bit fot he first run to start. You can't autosave your place in the game, but it looks like they have autosaves quite often so you don't restart too far back (maybe 30seconds).
The game needs both patience in some spots and all out insanity for others. So be prepared for every type of fighting. So far I've had creeping through the buildings, taking on snipers, all out fire fights, and disarming a bomb - and thats all in 20 minutes.
The AI is pretty good, but then again the fire fights are so short its hard not to be. Don't expect to not die - you can get taken out very easily.
You don't get any pre-training to get used to the keys, you're pretty much thrown right in.
So far, it looks really good, plays well, and seems a good game - but then again 20 minutes isn't too much to really review - so give it a go and make your own mind up - and gives a post on what you think.
