I love playing on hardmaps I have made new friends OLe Fart,just me, Wanabeboss, die trying, madcow, speedskater, Becksdark ,echo, Al Bundy, joey46 and all the other that I have missed echo it looks like I am going to get dsl soon | ||

It seemes, likes this issue is becoming a "holy cow", and the "masses" do as the leaders says. As a curiosity, I noticed, reading the forum, that several af the contributers in this thread, has complained in another thread, for missing stats??? I canŽt see, how the liking of stats, should be the same as liking easy-maps. I do like a real challenge, I just prefer to have a chance to survive. Otherwise it becomes to "unreal" to me. (Hmm. hard to explain) But, if you die, your mission IRL would be over, so to speak. Just my humble opinion, if no other will "break the wave" Still, I like hardmaps, but I dont like to be "mobbed" for the reason I got here in the first place. The great community here, one were not aware of until later. (And dont tell me, im the only one) | ||

Its more about team play and meeting new people from around the world, which is very nice to see, ventrilo takes gaming to another level. | Registered Member #932 Joined: Fri Nov 18 2005Posts: 95 | yes I like the stats but for me it is not about the kills or Deaths it is the Med Saves and I do not play to improve them I play to play as a team member and to meeting new people and to make new friends and i try to make some maps for lw and bhd and as for me looking for easymaps if I care about the stats I would play on a server that had easymaps not on this server that has hardmaps and this is just my opinion | ||

| Guest | Carsten, are you just having a bad day man? If your referring to the couple of times myself and others complained about losing stats I have already appologised for my part because I myself was not having a good week and was stressed out which was probably why I even complained about losing them in the first place. Now, the folks posting in this thread are just stating that building stats are not near as important to them as the friendships we all have developed here so the comments about our sincerity and rebuttal you just so readily mentioned was not warranted or requested. If stats are that important to you well that's your business and that's totally ok but I respectively ask you to be a little more understanding of the thoughts and feelings of other members even if you do not agree with them. If I were just playing for stats I wouldn't have to play online anyway because I could build up "stats" without playing on these servers. That would be boring and serve no meaningful purpose. The real fun is getting everyone together and play as a team. That's the enjoyment I get out of all this and just because you have a different view doesn't make what we say or think any less valid. | Registered Member #120 Joined: Sat Feb 28 2004Location: ore USA Posts: 849 | I dont rember sying I dont play for stats...I do rember saying that there not all that important to me .. one thing that seams to be missed is that Hardmaps Is a CO-OP server...That means that the folks that come in here to play come to play as a Team...Not as a Loner.. they play because they like the challenge of finishing a map working as a Team.. clearing the way points and clearing the objs as a Team..playing on the voice net has alowwed me not only to play as Part of a Team but!! to meet and talk to the people I am playing with and to make new friends.. not to see how high I can get in my point ratings... If you like the points so much then fine but you must rember hard maps IS a CO -OP server team work comes first if all you want is points themn please feel free to move on to a server were points and ranks count more than building a team and working togather and Haveing fun with folks from all over the world.. Off cause team-work and good teammates is the essential issue, otherwise i wouldŽnt join a co-op-server. Thats right. I never played anything else. When this is said, iŽll try again to explain, what I mean. In a team operation, there often is needed a sniper, to clear the road for the rest of the team. This must be a guy, maybe a loner, who likes to sneek around and spot the enemy. Well. Thats me. ;o) Other, who like close-combat, can then come inn and clear the area. IMO, this is teamwork too. This is, at least the way, how I learned it. I also put an honour in clearing the WP in the right order, which I know, several members of this community can verify. Still, I think its a good feeling to have a great score. It just feels good if you can be one of the "best" in every battle... My "attack" in this thread, was just, that the tone indicated, that everybody who like the stats, is a pointhunter. Making jokes on behalf of people, that like stats and so on. Sorry. | Registered Member #932 Joined: Fri Nov 18 2005Posts: 95 | yes we some time we need sniper to clear the road for the rest of the team but this job is more for a gunner and a sniper is not always a loner some times they have a spotter and yes they do sneek around and spot the enemy but there job more like to take out high ranking officers and leader and they do not always have high kill if u want high kills then u should be a gunner not a sniper and me I like being a medic but that is just me | ||

I like the people better, bar none. I just happen to like the talking and the fun that we have on Hardmaps.. Caeston not all snipers are loners.. but if thats the way you play more power to you..
