I am attempting to make my first DFX Special Ops coop-map using the SOMED. I started with the plain old DFXMED, but started over in SOMED. Anyway, I’m finding it very time consuming to have to stop editing, save, sign-on to nova world and start a LAN server in order to check my map in 3d-real-time (seems like every minute and a PITA). I’m wondering if there’s an easier way… an DFXSO type mission editor out there that I could be using such as the JO-N.I.L.E. ?[
As *HmS*Trevor suggest, the fastest way to try out your map in game is to set it in single player.,and just set it back to coop when you want to try it out with friends.
No.. It dos not affect the waypoints (I say with 98% confidence). Also, when making small changes in med you don`t always need to quit game, just push "ESC" in-game and you will get three options RESUME, RESTART, QUIT. (if I remember correctly). select RESTART, then it loads the mission and the changes you made in med will be changed. So... Have two windows open, SOMED and DFXSO. Push "ALT+TAB to toggle between them. If you make a small change in med, and want to check it in-game afterwords just move your "player marker" close to where you made the change and Save and Export. Then open the game (ALT+TAB)..... select RESTART and you start the mission close to were you made the change with almost no timedelay.... NOTE: This don`t always work, if not, QUIT the game back to Single player page and reload the mission. Hope I made sense.....
