Hi guys,
Thought it would be interesting and important to start a thread of this nature. This should be directed only to married HM "Army" elements, but since I'm looking 4 ideas, it's open to everyone who wants to help me lol . I'm running out of ideas concerning with excuses to my wife (talking only about playing! Just playing! Other things I can manage!!!). She hates the idea of watching me playing all the time. I told her that I'm fighting to get a better world - she didn't believe me! Last time she said "if u don't stop that, I'll pick up all the things and go away". I said "plz, don't do that. I promise I'll be a good man................. leave the pc, ok? and some french fries!".
So, what do u, guys, tell to your beloved ones to keep on playing?
Must remember u all that this is a serious thread, 'cause I'm about to be kicked out from home, and I think that under the bridge there's no place where I can turn pc power on!!! (63) (57) (17)

There are many ways arund this problem
1.)Let her leave
2.)Buy her a pc and link them together.
3.)Make sweet love for an hour untill she is so tired she begs you to leave her alone.
4.)be really annoying so she wants you to go away.
5.)Say you are endevouring to obtain world peace and she should stop being so selfish and think of the children.

if these dont work just have a special hour every nite to attend to her every whim so she thinks she cant live withot you and lets you do as you please.
any other questions fire them over to me as hardmaps very own agony uncle......uncle killzone

As to Ranger, don't think I'll go away just like that. I'll do like OBB said, never less than three hours should give me about 1/5 hour free!

Lavish expensive gifts upon her and spoil her something rotten. Then, just when she thinks things couldn't get much better, whisk her away on a wild weekend In a country mansion and make mad and passionate love to her. Make sure she is the center of all your attention and tell her all the things she wants to hear. (l) Creep or what ! lol

This should clear you for at least a couple of months of dedicated HMS fun. Good luck M8tie, may the force be with you.

Or, you could try and get a little extra time in with her, and explain, that you COULD be at the bar, or snorting coke, or injecting heroin (52) , but NO, you prefer to get your "fix" at HardMaps, with a bunch of good peoples <"> !
Otherwise I think your only other choice is to play when she's not around, or sleeping! (29) (as for RoadBlock and I, we fight (53) over who gets the computer, as we have our own favorite puter games!)

My guess is the easiest way around this is to play when she's not awake. I usually do my computer thing from 10:30pm till 2 or 3am when the wife's asleep. You don't necessarily have to slather on the extra attention. But, if you're not a night owl then what OBB said means a lot...well, to a guy, I don't know about a woman. Would she rather you were at a bar or watching TV? I mean, there's other more destructive way to be a schmuck than playing a video game. (59)

On the other hand, relax from the game a bit. Chances are it and we will still be here. Family is more important. Or sit her down and talk to her about it. "Look, this was a one time monetary investment in a game, and I'm meeting people from all over the world for the price of an internet service provider. Assure her you're only going to play for like an hour, or more accurately a map or two a night and make good on that promise for a couple weeks before you trash it. (23) Ease her into the idea.

Sort of a meandering answer I know...but it reflects the nature of marriage no? (15)

(25) Thx guys, 4 all your tips. A few heads can think better than just one! But I think the best way is make love until she fall asleep (normally it happens wiyh us, males lol ), than turn on the pc and play as long as I can!!! (58) (58) (58) (58) (58) (58)
Just one more thing, I was about to buy the JO game but now I must save some money 4 a tent or a caravan lol lol lol lol lol

C u all in battlefield! Same team, same spirit! No wife around! (43)

Here's my tips for a happy marriage if you like gaming more than watching TV with your wife (like me)

1. Always be available to do things you are asked. It's a game. If you die you can still carry on. That way she will not feel like you are ignoring her all the time.. even though you are.

2. Bore her rigid telling her what you just did. She'll hopefully either fall asleep or leave the room.

3. Buy her a gameboy advance with pokemon on it. My wife spends more time gaming on that than I do on the PC.

4. Work stupid shifts so that when she is at work.. you are at home with the PC without the wife.

5. Don't have kids... or number 4 is a no go. For some reason kids need looking after... unless they go to school

6. If you do have kids and they don't go to school invest in the entire disney back catalogue. Also include Shrek 1 and 2. If you have a son then Star Wars and LOTR are musts also. That will get you an average of an hours gaming each DVD or video. Cable TV with NIck Jr is a must also.

7. Become gay and live with another guy who likes gaming as well as hamster-fun.

8. Get your wife into gaming somehow... if she's not interested.. buy her a vibrator. Ensure it is not bigger than you are or you will be replaced.

9. Cook all the meals. This is a great way to say that you game to relax after working hard on a good dinner. If you can't cook.. learn.

10. Remember that women are people too... if a little wierd..

Been married 5 years now... and we still get on really well... which suprises me to be honest....
