Can You Figure These Out?
1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?
2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?
3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?
4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?
5. This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

i got all those...what about these?
1.A man married his sister, killed his mother, and was born before his father. He was considered socially acceptable by normal American standards. How is this possible?
2.Two adjoining rooms are separated by a wall such that you can not see into the second room when standing in the first one. The first has three light switches, each connected to an individual light in the second room. You can only walk to the second room once. How can you determine which switch is connected to which light in one trip only?
3.Do they have a 4th of July in England?
4.A man tries to sell a coin collector a rare and ancient coin, with a minting date marked on it of 237 BC. The collector has the man arrested for fraud. Why?

To number 3, 4th July is a significant date in England, marked nationally as being 6 days before my birthday. That, along side the making America independant, or is that impudent, can never remember. But a great day for coffee drinkers. By the way, you all know I love the yanks, so the impudent remark should be ignored. Now where's my thesaurus? Whats a thesaurus? (105)
1. I would choose the room with the lions. If they haven't eaten in three years, what harm can come from carcasses? (Except for a really bad smell?) 2. She's taking his picture and developing it! 3. A newspaper 4. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow 5. There are no double spaces between the sentences. This is the best I could come up with. Now onto Rangers...
We celebrate it in our house cause my wife and daughter are American.
The irony of a Brit like me (with all my impartial and non-patriotic views) celebrating the independance of a country from my own is not lost on me but you have to keep the other half happy.
I did laugh at her and gloat a lot for about 2 weeks after we beat you in the 4x100 relay in the Olympics by a pubes width (to be honest I still gloat about it now..sad eh) so it's only fair I let her laugh at me and gloat about kicking our arses a few hundred years ago.
I was in America for the 4th once... best fireworks display I'd ever seen.. and the noisiest..although for some reason when I started to drunkenly sing 'God Save the Queen' at the top of my voice when everyone else was singing 'My country tis of thee' (I can't remember if thats the right name for the song but it has the same tune as our anthem) my in-laws threatened me with instant death. Some people have no sense of humour... ;)
