Yoy bought a new computer and i need to write the manual , how to use , what on it , and other thing like that. Now is mij english not great , so could all the english and other guys see there are any fault in it. Like word fault , wrong sense and stuff like that and sayed it too me so can change it. First of all, I must say that english is _NOT_ my primary langauge (but it's should to be pretty good) so another look by other forum member might help. Second, you can use Word to help you spelling. Word has a dictionary for dutch-english (and english-dutch as well) and he can fix your pronunciation. Just install it from your office cd... This is the first part ("General introduction") like i fixed him: --------------------- General introduction Congratulations with your purchase. I am glad you have chosen a PC/D.A.M from us. PC is standing for Personal Computer and D.A.M means Duplication Addicted Machine. In this manual we will write D.A.M. (but we also mean PC). You have chosen D.A.M that you can have a good use with internet and downloading music or movies. The D.A.M is built from the best components that you need in a computer to run very well. You can to have a very fast internet connection, so you will be able to download music and movies very fast. You also will be able to search pages on the internet very fast. The target group of the D.A.M is all ages. Young children could play small games on the internet or search for drawings. Older people could search things for school, download movies and music. You can play online games too. Internet connection is required to do this. You don't need to care for viruses and SPAM. You get an anti-virus program to keep your computer clean. If you got internet you will find a lot of anti-spywares to download. Your operating system is Windows XP. With Windows XP you can do everything very fast and it's very easy to use. If you plug something on USB, it should recognize it automatic so you won't have to install the drivers. You got your D.A.M with a 400 GB hard disk. You can save a lot of information on. With your DVD burner you can get everything on a DVD or CD. With your video card you can play all the newest games. You can't play everything on the highest detail, but nevertheless it should look be nice. We hope you will have a very good time with your D.A.M. On this page we will tell you the content of those CD's and what you can do with it. You just will found a short description of the softwares so a future learning about the softwares will be required Windows XP Service Pack 2 CD – Your operation system (Windows XP Service Pack 2). Windows XP is already installed on your D.A.M. but if you got problems or Windows XP doesn't working correctly you could reinstall it. If you would like to reinstall Windows XP, Just place the CD in the DVD-Rom drive and restart you computer. Wait a few seconds and you will enter to the setup of Windows XP. From here follow the steps that show on your screen. Drivers CD – On the drivers CD you will find all the drivers of your hardware. If you reinstalled Windows XP you will have to install all the drivers of your hardware. If you don't install the drivers, the hardware might malfunction and to cause problems. Microsoft Word CD – The popular text writer you will find. Word has a lot of options to make briefs, manuals, homepages and a lot more. You will found him very useful if you need to type a lot of text to school. Limewire Pro CD – You got a 30 days trial of the program Limewire. With Limewire you can download all your favourites' music songs. It's a simple program. You just press the search button and fill in the band or the song that you want to download. If the song has completed downloading the program will put it in the media directory. If you download a lot of songs then you have all songs on an alphabetic list. If the 30 days are over, you have to chance to buy the program. If you don't buy the program, you won't be able to use it anymore Bitlord Pro CD – You got a 30 days trial of this program. Bitlord is almost the same program as Limewire. You can download movies and whole albums with it. Her interface is almost the same as Limewire. Press the search button, fill in what you want to download and it will download. After 30 days you need to buy the program if you want, otherwise you can't use it anymore. Norton Anti-Virus CD – Norton Anti-Virus is one of the best anti-virus software that you can find. It's always on when you use the computer. He can always find the newest viruses so you computer is always safe. If you got internet you will find a lot of updates for the program, so then you computer is always safe. I love doing this type of thing, back in the college days, I would proofread and type papers for other students.
