 Registered Member #369 Joined: Thu Nov 18 2004Posts: 3 | after testing with a cuople of my BAR clan mates we found that the game has "hidden co op" as if you luanch a single player game and then have the other join via IP it does work, over all game play wise i find this game to be very fun. just seems hard to find servers at times (28) | ||

The grafik is great but just not enough.. Just read that the makers of Operation Flashpoint (great game) are making the second edition, just under a nother name, now there is a game to look foreward to.. (4) | ||

But i have heard what you have been saying from a few other people as well. and it looks like it wont support coop games alough there's a way round it plus the system specs needed to run it are HUGE Shame realy i agree it looks like it could have been so much better than t actualy is, but i will pass further judgement when i actualy get it LOL | ||

  Registered Member #406 Joined: Mon Dec 06 2004Location: Aviemore , Scotland Posts: 42 | I have this and i have to say i whole-heartedly agree with Bloodhunter, superior graphics does not make the game ,i usually play sniper and unless you get a direct head shot you will not kill ,maybe this is the realistic aspect of the game ...im sure it is but its not something i will be playing on a regular basis .......i will stick with my Jops. I was really disappointed with the game as the demo seemed to be just what i was looking for but alas the game its self is not up to scratch for me and it has no co-op mode for some reason !!!???duh If i was to give it marks out of 10 it would be 5 (96) <span class='smallblacktext'>[ Edited Thu Jul 07 2005 ]</span> | ||

Just wanted to post something so my new avatar (non did it for me) would come up I do Desert combat because the squad does it. I feel I need to bite the bullet on some things I do not care for. in order to partisipate with those I like to game with. to be honest if my son (who could not run it on his machine) didn't give it to me I would not have bought it (94) (105) | ||

| Captain Slow Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | WCC squad now have a coop mod for it Brad, and it works well, very tuff, the ai in BF2 are smart, but the maps are small, its like a cqb map with bots so its very fast paced and all out action to the extent you are worn out after doing a map, mind you that sounds like one of your maps as well (23) So do i think its better than JO, no, it has some very nice features that make it fun to play sometimes, the graphics are very good but you need a good pc to get the most out of the game which means its out of reach for so many people. Coop in JO cant be bettered just now from the other games i have seen so far, Nova may screw up things from time to time but they have made a good job with JO and the ability to make your own maps for it keeps the game alive. | ||

What they did is set it so you have the rebels all bots, and the coalition as humans with bots filling the extra spaces. The game is setup like a JO cqb where you fight for objectives (just like the DC mod for BF1942). And it is HARD - you win maybe half the maps. The AI is very good - to the extent that after sniping for a while-the rebel bots will actually seek you out to kill you. JO has it hands down in wrt to making your own maps for objective style play - but for all out mayhem - BF2 is great. Give the coop mod a try - once you install you launch the game with their icon, then go to multi-player and go to IP 216.229.17.166 port 16567 to get in. Its intense. | ||
