Im not really sure was can have someone using Novalogics name, Novaworld, which is copy righted posting and advertising their site here. | ||

Im not really sure was can have someone using Novalogics name, Novaworld, which is copy righted posting and advertising their site here. hi to answer youre questions is not a problem we are not related to novalogic or novaworld.com whats so ever it's also not against any law as to the name the www.novaworld1.com name was purchased by us sometime ago it was available we also own www.novalogic1.com aswell which will at current redirect you to own main home of www.gwl-squad.com novaworld own novaworld2/novaworld3 and others we have a copyright ownership rights at the bottom of our site to acommadate any copyright infringments to there prospective owners QUOTE This looks to be a reincarnation of novamappers.com. Same registration of the domain, same silly 1 post minimum rule before you can read topics. yes you are correct we are www.novamappers.com but we felt that the name after some discusion did not relate to clearly to the cause and moved it over to this domain instead we still own novamappers and that site will be altered to accomadate another non related novaworld project later as for the 1 post min rule this applys only to guests there is some good information on our site and giving it away freely to guests is in our eyes not on and not fair to the coder that put the item on our site the one post rule is removed once you have registered the block reading happens on most sites now that to read items you have to register and is nothing new we offer guests free downloads to maps at current only QUOTE But why would anyone go there? dont we have all those resources here? yes you do so does many other the other site linked or affilated to us at present but we feel that sites like yours and ours need to band together so mappers modders and such can get those maps they want through all sites that accomadate we have all the mods ready for instant download to all members this is not available on some mapping sites due to high bandwidth it can cause but we have this available which our other sites use us to share that mod and same goes for other items you have a huge collection of your maps that you have made which is great we would love to have them on our site so others can get so that your work can be seen and played by many others mappers love to see there maps played on other servers and we are offering that QUOTE They are playing on a good name somethings up we are nothing more then whats available now as to theres somthing up you can see us on the official novaworld forums over at www.novaworld2.com adertising our site we are freely open about the work we do and have not stepped on the toes of novalogic or anyone elses. the name is and was freely available for purchase which many domains are also as you can see we are not under one name and advertsing a totally different product item or anything else like sadly bad sites do to get ratings hits ect ect we are as you can see related to the name and products. in defence if novalogic did not want people to buy that domain then they should have purchased or kept that name but it seems it was not we found this odd but who is this to question on many domain names that come up for sale we have contacted them on other matters relating to updates and other items and had no issues we have also contacted them by telephone under our novaworld1 name but as i have said we are freely and openly available on there own sites without question or issues i hope this has answered your questions we are not here to force or persuade any of your users or members to come on over we are simply here if you need any maps or mods that you may not be able to get or are interested in having you do not even have to register to download the maps like other visitors if you want to join then by all means do and welcome or if you want to linkup on our site under affliate then by all emans welcome but you are not forced to and you may simply remove this post from your site without any questions asked all the best and many thanxs many thanxs novaworld1 [ Edited Wed Sep 08 2010 ] | ||

That's nice about sites like hardmaps and dfbarracks, they share their knowledge without forcing people to register. People will register anyway if they feel the site is helpful. Personally I am registrated at these sites even though you can read as guest, but I never bothered to register at these member only sites. To me it feels like you aren't welcome and then I lose my interest and go to a site where you do feel welcome. | ||

| Captain Slow Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | Im not wanting to start, or get into, an arguement or debate over ethics, you are doing it completely legally and to try and aid the Novalogic community which I have no problem with. I personally dont agree with the name you have chosen on moral grounds, I own Hardmaps.com but I cant go and buy every domain name out there that represents Hardmaps.com like Hardmaps1.com. I class Hardmaps1.com as being so close to Hardmaps, I would be P***ed if someone bought it to use on the same games we do here. Due to our maps being constantly updated it would be alot more work to update our maps on other sites, its a big enough job as it is and as we pride ourselves in making sure our maps run as smoothly and big free as possable. We wont willingly let other sites have our maps for download for that reason, its best to come to the source to find the most uptodate bug free maps. We have been around long enough for people to know where we are. Good luck with your new site. | ||
