For those of you who are willing to pay the 6 euro's for the program (or already have payed)... Niles Little Helper 8 is released by Oldman... (starting to become a NOT so LITTLE helper) A very helpfull program with some great features in it... Take a look at some of those features...
I personally don't support people trying to make money with these kind of things. You don't earn respect by making a program that a few people find useful and then betraying your users by suddenly charging money so they can continue using it.
I had NLH until Oldman betrayed the users with his self destruct code, but I must say I never really used it much before that. And I must say I didn't miss it for a second after it stopped working. The screenshots here don't look that promising to pay this guy money, I would rather donate my money to people who really deserve it. People who host websites or game servers so we all can enjoy it... for free! People who have lots of expenses for things like bandwidth and maintenance, but still offer it for free. If everybody started to charge money, the community would have been dead already. $10 to host Shadowmans maps, $5 to be able to play on the hardmaps servers, $5 to use Ventrilo, $15 to download the IC mod and $5 to upload your custom maps on sites like dfbarracks.

Didn't start this thread to rake up that discussion again Michaben...We've been there already.
But advertisements for commercial software, what this in fact is, is accepted then? Personally I never saw a good reason that approves NLH suddenly becoming payware and betraying the old users, and when you ask about it people always try to avoid answering to it. I think if you advertise a commercial tool in a commercial forum, you should be able to defend why it's commercial rather then free like everything else in this community.
If you try to run, I've got six little friends and they can all run faster than you can.

I got the last one and paid for it because i really dont see the problem as it was almost as cheap as a box of matches and would really enjoy getting back into Nile. Unfortunately Shadow i clicked the link and logged in and it said there was an error? Any ideas?

Checked your state on the forums...You don't show as a NLH-Member..(which you become when you pay for NLH). So that's the reason you can't enter that section...If you say you bought Version 7, then you should be able to upgrade to v8.
Also when you are a NLH-Member, you should have received an E-mail with the link to the upgrade... So I don't know why you didn't get it...I'll ask Oldman
If someone wishes to buy it for the first time they can find it on the forums. the link above is just a direct link to the download section. (only accessible for NLH-Members).

Takes your flames elsewhere - as in not on our forum. This is a thread to discuss the virtues of NLH - not bitch about having to pay for it.
