There is a very likely possibility that the HmS IC NA server will experience an interuption of service sometime in the next several days. It could be a short interuption or it could last for several days. A watch does not mean that the interuption is actually occurring, only that conditions have created a significant risk for it. If the interuption actually does occur, an interuption warning will probably not be issued.

We have taken over control of your computer to bring you the following breaking news..........

The conditions leading to this possible (probable) interuption are a Category 3, 4, or 5 hurricane (Gustov) bearing down on my house about Monday afternoon. Electricity could be out for hours or even days lending reason for the server being down. Should the server go down, I will attempt to get it back up and running ASAP once electrical power is restored providing I still have a house and a server to put back up.

In the mean time, if you will pardon me I'm going to go kiss my rear end goodby.

HAD THIS BEEN AN ACTUALL EMERGENCY HAPPENING AT THE MOMENT OF POSTING THIS POST WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE, and you would not have been instructed to tune in for breaking developments. Control of your computer is now being returned to you.

Keep safe and sound, I hope I will not see your server go down, because it would mean the worst for You.
So, I am gonna praying that Your server stays online and thus kill a bird with two stones .... errrr ..... one bird ... two birds .... or however that saying went.

Keep Your head up! (But do not forget to get it down, if need occurs!)

Put a windmill in your garden...With those strong winds you'll have enough electricity to run your server...

Good luck man, be safe

Well latest reports say it will hit Baton Rouge about 1:00 PM local time Monday. Sustained winds ~ 50-90 M/H with gusts to 100 - 110 MPH. Hopefully it will weaken a little more before it hits. It was at 156 mph earlier today. I expect that my power will go out sometime in the morning and hope it will be out for a couple of days only. Reporting live from the future ground zero...........

C Y O A tiger, warm winters and few rain drops like that is the off set for no arse deep snow, -15° F, dead battery, scraping ice off wind shields, shoveling snow off side walks, frost bite, snot in your nose freezing and hands to cold to work.
I hope this cheers you up tiger!!
Do take care of your family, be safe!!! hope to see you soon,

Patrick

Update......8:55 AM

Hurricane Gustav is down to a Cat 2. Winds in Baton Rouge are up & down in gusty bands ranging from 10 - 35 MPH currently. Rain all night and expected to continue all day. Anticipated rain fall of 10 - 15 inches (2.5cm/inch) Currently under flood watch, tornado watch and tornado warnings in different areas of south Louisiana. Grocery stores had long lines yesterday and many empty shelves. There was not a loaf of bread to be found anywhere. Many gas stations had sold out as well.
