Captain Slow    Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | In 1999 Douglas Adams, the writer of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, realised that the internet offered an opportunity to turn his fictional Guide to the Galaxy into something real and so h2g2 was born, this is at a time long before wikipedia came along, it is celebrating its 10th year this year. The BBC took over control of the site in 2001 which is a collection of subjects and articles arranged in groups from life on Earth to animals and people, everything and anything from recepies to sea shanties, if it isnt there you can write your own article. h2g2 website link here | ||
