Europe was down but I was fortunate to get a connection on a US server (160 saor or something of the kind) under an assumed name  in case I sucked.  upon joining the "friendly" server I was told to play as a medic (no problem). I jumped into a boat but was told that my squad was in a vehicle. (they must be quick at typing) I went to look for my squad and found that they were waiting (very kind). we started the mission but warnings came on to the screen to play only with the weapons the "squad" wanted....??? "can't be me!" I thought, I was using the same weapon as the rest of my squad (HK). but the warnings kept coming. I was shooting BGs and medding and generally doing well (must be the change in identity) but I was punted  Now I appreciate that every clan has it's heirarchy, and so it should,  , but can any clan be as petty as to punt someone just for not using the correct weapon?That's it, Ive learned my lesson, if no-one is on a HMs server in future i'm not playing at all! | ||

Captain Slow   Registered Member #3 Joined: Fri Dec 19 2003Location: Scotland Posts: 4651 | I would have to agree, im implementing a rule now that goat sacrifices have to be made from now on before each map. Once your in and playing you will need to wear pink underwear and a frilly shirt. Your ammo must be made of wood and the use of, flashbangs, nades, satchels, at4..... well anything that makes lots of noise are now forbidden incase bird watchers are about. 4x4 driving must be kept to hardcore surfaces incase you hurt the worms and tanks will need to be reduced in weight. You have to be tied to all team members by a 10mm rope, 12mm rope is not allowed. If you team kill you must cut off your hand, your dogs paw and your cats tail. All chopper rides must be cleared by the local aircraft control tower at leist 24 hours before hand and again rockets are not allowed incase you hit a bee. I think that about covers Hardmaps updated rules unless anyone has any more suggestions. | ||

Is a pink computer case ok when you don not have pink frilly things. I kills lot of trees, windows, barrels, and birds in LW, is that against the rules now too ? Every squad has it's own rules and their own kind of playing. I once got punted in an AAS server because those noobs were unable to distroy the APC from which I was killing them all. It was right behind the wall, next to the gate, 2 well aimed AT4s and I could have been dead. But if you approach my APC from the front, expect to be killed over and over. With some team work they could have taken me down in a minute, but instead they punted me.  But as I said, every squad can make their own rules. And it's a good thing they have their own server where they can order people how to play, because then they don't have to come to hardmaps and ruin our games by telling everybody what to do. Some people have a different idea of teamplay. It sounds to me that in the server you went they do play as team, but forgot that most people play games for fun and not for being ordered around.  | ||

AND mister peutty tat (swamp rat ?), that rule will stay in effect also!!!! For the ones who want light/lite beer, go to the local hole in the wall bar. Now, more beer, more gaming, I need that echo and baddan in my cross hairs!!  | ||
