What exactly is Your problem with VT? What errors do You get? A little more info would be very helpful, indeed!

Apart from that, some useful info on wireless:
Well, usually wireless connections are not good for gaming anyway (lets leave round based strategy games aside).
That is because of the technical limitations. On wireless connections a lot of information is exchanged just to make sure that the info send or received was send or or received correctly. Thus the bandwidth on the connection that can be used by the actual content is narrowed down, sometimes even as far as only 30% to 40% percent of the actual bandwidth, if conditions are bad. And by having to wait for each information package send over the wireless connection to be verified as properly send, the overall performance is going down as well and giving You high ping times.

So if You are on the far edge of the wireless connection radius it might well be, that Your actual data connection is not very much more than 250kb/s, even though your connection has a nominal 756kb/s, just because so much packages are lost during transmission and need to be resend.

Hello *HmS* Cardinal!

My wireless connection speeds do vary @ times because I have a wireless connection, but I can reach maximum evolution speeds @ 756 kbs fairly easy(I literally go outside and move my directional antenna, in 5" increments, while I am gaming to get @ evolution speeds). Anyways, and with that in mind when I do get set up with ventrillo I can get as far as hearing someone speak, but I can not reply, or depending on my antenna postion I will get a "choppy" connection inevitably losing comm. on occasion(very irritating). I have been working with Xfire too and it seems to be doing the same thing...

Thanking you in advance Cardinal. I'm SO glad (and I bet many others here as well) that you don't mind rolling up your sleeves and helping out with these issues. I thankfully have never had any problems getting my mods or VT to work but I sure know where to turn to if I need help. HMS staff rocks when it comes to this stuff
