The debate to which is the update to the original OFP goes on, many think ARMA 2 is.
It is due out next month, June 2009, and has coop, but from what I have read you can only play the entire solo campaign cooperatively, so another COD 5 or RS Vegas series type game.
From the Vids I have seen from each game OFP2 looks more BF2 like with better graphics than ARMA2 but you can never really tell until you get the game.

For me ArmA2 looks a bit too much like OFP. Though it may be more up-to-date, it still has some things from OFP such as those menus you had to use (and they are using some of the same sounds).
Based on what i've seen of both games, i still think OFP:DR is looking and sounding like the much better game.

Well I ordered my copy and I shall see how it is next week when it arrives, it is very difficult to pre judge a game on videos and trailers, I agree OFP2 looks better from the videos.
Im just looking forward to a new game that has coop! very exciting.

got it - tried it, well... it sure aint JO, and you really need a crazy pc to enjoy the game in full... but it looks ok so fahr with normal settings. in missions, you get a bit enoyed of hearing, engaging enemy, from the team.. but i guess you can switch that off.. im qurious to see what you think of it master wedge
