I need two connections for VT one for my account and one for my sons account but VT will only let one of us connect if the other trys to connect the server wont let accept it and kicks me off with the message " You have been kicked from the server. Duplicate IP's are not allowed for your account. " we both have fixed ip's on the network, any ideas on how we can both get on vt at the same time (it worked ok on the old version of vt )

The new VT has many new things we have to setup and enable, if anyone has any other suggestions let us know, oh and before anyone says yes the (GUEST) is daft and at the moment not much we can do about it.

The GUEST thing is because this new version comes with user accounts, anyone without one is now called a GUEST, reading the posts in the ventrilo.com forum its not just us that thinks it looks bad, it not needed and is a bit of an insult to users, if/when we find a way or remove this stupid new feature we will.
No talk of a fix yet so it might be something people have to get used to, all *HmS* members will get accounts with the new server we are moving to soon (no point in doing it with the old one)
There is no difference between account holders and GUESTS apart from the server recognises account holders so doesnt put GUEST, we think this feature has been created because alot of Ventrilo servers are open with no password required to login, pita people then login and cause problems.
The server move is due to some people reporting extremely high ping spikes and other problems, I for one hate change but the problems have got to a point that we need to look at a different location and see if it fixes the problems, as the server is based in London now instead of Virginia a ping reversal will take place.

After the huge amount of complaints from just about every ventrilo user to the makers of VT an update is being released soon that will fix these issues, hurray lol.
This is a server side update not a client update so all you should notice is a small down time in our VT server.
This weekend we will be moving to the new VT server as well so keep an eye out on the news page, all autologin links will be updated to the new server.
