(This is absolutely NO slight against our brothers and sisters across the great pond)
I was inspired to write this when I clicked on the HmS main page to see wishes of a "Happy Independence Day"....and given with full sincerity by a gentleman who is from the very country which that independence was from. It should be ironic, but it really isn't. 200+ years later the world, people, and their views/understandings have changed so much. Think of how things were back then. Can you blame the Colonist for wanting more? No.
It's beautiful how far we've come. We are each others greatest allies. We were once 1...then we were 2....now we are 1 again. The roots of our blood came from your ground. The language we speak came from your land. (tho sadly many here in the south seem to have forgotten how to use it properly...I am an exception)
From the bottom of my heart...thankyou for my freedom.
...oh....and thanks for the Beatles too!
...we could have done without the Spice Girls tho.
