 Registered Member #517 Joined: Sun Feb 13 2005Posts: 2 | Hello HARDMAPS Squad, I've basically come here to shoot an idea with you guys. I'm working trying to create a new league/alliance thing for Landwarrior. I know it's not as good as Blackhawk Down and Joint Ops, but that doesn't mean it's still not a competitive game. I don't have an official site up yet because I'm trying to see how many squads are interested in doing something like this. But here's what I have so far: Basically what it will be is an alliance of sorts. Each member squad will be in good standing with one another, and it will just be a healthy competition. There will be ladder tourneys in different game types. Right now I'm looking to kick off with eight squads. I'm not sure what the game type will be. Each squad will have one, maybe two ambassadors. I strongly encourage that the squad leader is the squad ambassador to this thing. The ambassadors will have a say in who gets in the league/alliance, and the tourney types. The ambassadors will also be responsible for choosing the maps used in tourneys and matches. I know that each squad has their own special custom maps that they like to use. I hope that they will come up with a good mix of maps from their individual pools. Basically the only people that will be allowed to post in the league/alliance forums for match signups is the ambassadors. This should prevent stupid people from making stupid matches and starting stupid rivalries for no reason. Each squad server will also be observed for a time. Very good server quality is a must. Location of the server will be taken into account. Also each squad will be evaluated and observed to make sure there aren't any cheaters, glitchers, or people intentionally causing lag or force lagging. It is my hope that we have a good and very clean competition going on here. Here's where things get really messy. Each individual member of a squad is a representative of their squad in the league. Therefore, the entire squad will be held accountable for one person's actions. I know it doesn't seem fair, but this should encourage everybody in a squad to do their best to uphold and maintain their squad's good standing and reputation.
