Guy's, I can't hear people coming in and out of the server or in and out of the channels, what could be the problem? Also I saw Monoxides web shots of his vt set-up. Should we all have the same settings execept for the type of hardware we use? Thanks for your help. P.S. somebody told me if you auto login from Hms it will reset all your settings back to normal, is this correct?

Could you post your system specs please, and operating system, it will help us to know what you might need to do.

The auto login will reset the server details, it should not change any settings you have made to your client.

if you hear people talking and they hear you, then i think its the settings

click set up, then at top click the "events" tab the the third "users connect" should say "text to speech", fourth.."users diconnect should be "text to speech"

if those setting are good the check the "misc" tab look at the third thing down "silent connection when in a channel" i have mine checked, but if you want to hear these things uncheck that box.

if none of those then i'm at a loss.

When you use the autologin feature on the website once it should save the server details from then onwards on your computer, are you getting an error message?

If you start VT from the icon on your desktop, you then have to make sure your name is in the USERNAME spot (first option at top) then make sure SERVER is set to the Hardmaps one - then you click the CONNECT button at the right.

If you go to the website and use that link it automatically does all this for you.

But if its an error you get, post it here so we can try to sort it out.

Ask Hammer to go over the server settings with you reaper, you should be able to select the server from the pull down menu and click connect.

Not sure what you have done to your VT Reaper, but if you uninstall, delete all VT files, and reinstalled VT, and then follow the instructions on how to set it up, it will work. It has worked for hundreds of people allowing them all to connect to our VT server. It may be that is your best bet. Maybe you have corrupt files.

As to the default channel, that is simply the channel you join when you do log in. That is either set up, or not set up, on your end Reaper. You will have to look at that. Clicking the Auto Login sets that for you, and takes you to the Lobby, I think.

As to the password, *HmS* squad members don't know that password, although I understand Wedge has given all of the information to Hammer! Regardless, the password is not likely to be posted here in this forum.

Again, it is very difficult for us to correct problems that you have created on your machine. We don't know what you have done or changed to create the problem, or whether you could possibly have a corrupted file. We are willing to help (as evidenced by the posts here), but the bottom line is if you follow the simple instructions, it will work. But we aren't tech support for VT (see another thread) and we aren't mind readers. We don't know what you have changed or done to create your problem, and you haven't given us enough information to be able to figure out how to correct it.

I suggest uninstall, remove files, reboot, and reinstall. Follow setup instructions, and click on autologin. Think that is your best bet.
