I could say i have never seen you over at the creators of Hardmaps content management systems forum thanking them for creating it so you can use it here.
THANK YOU!
Come on Wedge...I have made my thanks a few times here on the forums and the shoutbox..Thanking you personal and Trevor on your birthdays for the great work you guys did...Also giving my complements on how the hardmaps community made it a lot more fun playing Joint opps...In fact, if it weren't for you guys I wouldn't even be making maps...your maps are what inspired me to start building maps..
But thats beside the point...
What isn't beside the point was my comment that I also thought it wasn't the best way Oldman handled this...
I'm not expecting people to pay Godfathers a visit to thank Oldman for his work. What bothers me is, as long as people can use these tools, content and other stuff forums like Hardmaps and Godfathers provide for free you don't hear them. But as soon as it's not for free anymore they start making comments...
Comments like, and I quote "So thnx Oldman for all the work and the support to kill the JO community one more time."

Well, i have used nlh, and i did thank old man for his good work on that "free" program, it would have been hundreds of ours of work just in programming alone and when someone does that on their spare time to make a product they give away for free its worth a thank you at least.. this is my opinion
BUT then time changes and suddenly it isnt free.. well here is now the option for everybody to decide on their own how much they like nlh... well i like it very much.. but i will never pay for it. to do a complete turnaround like old man did and suddenly demand money for a product that has been free for so long ( okey, its the new nlh7 that costs money) but then also disable all the previous versions of nlh.. that is just pure and utterly F***d especially since there were NO headsup at all that this would happen! the least the man could have done is to leave the earlier versions working but greed has its price.. and for my own opinion that results in a total loss of respect and support to oldman..

Then force people to thank you. Instead of having the last objective "Reach final waypoint", which triggers the win condition, make the last objective "Thank Trevor for this map on hardmaps forum", and roll the map as soon as someone posted "thank you" on this forum. Place a timeout of 1 hour in the map, in case nobody thanked you after then, teleport players high up in the sky so they suicide fall to death for like a few hours. This will cause people to get a negative score if they don't thank you.

that actually sounds like it would suite trevs evil masterplan very well. or at least its as evil as some of his maps..
edit. did i mention i would really like to see that in a map mohahaha..

Having played some of trevs maps, I think it's more likely that he puts 50 miniguns with respawning jungle birds firing on them in a large building. Then on the side of the building, there is a 25x5 matrix of radio boxes, if you shoot the correct boxes so the remaining radios read "TY TREV" the birds die. If not, well, you will need 12 medics to get through that building to the PSP, which disappears the moment you reach it.
Edit: this is not an idea to be used in an actual map. Ok, maybe in a special event map where the person with most deaths wins a cake.

Hi Brad nice to see you.
A new game from Novalogic is on the cards this year sometime but thats about all anyone knows, MeKen found some pics of it in Novalogics ftp which they left open. Pics can be found at Action Inside.
IC Europe is not long away from public release so get out of JO retirement and have a look at it, lots of new toys!
